As we continue to follow government and local guidelines and thanks to the highly successful vaccine programme, we are working towards restoring some areas of General Practice that have been on hold.
In this recovery phase please continue to be patient with staff. The vaccine roll out means there is a significant increase in work load meaning that all staff, clinical and administrative are working additionally to maintain services.
If you require medical attention and your request cannot be dealt with by a pharmacist, 111 or NHS Conditions online self-care advice then please use the e-consult service giving as much information as possible so we can triage you and ensure that you have a timely response. Due to high patient demand all requests for consultations are now being triaged by one of the clinicians.
The response may be via SMS or a telephone appointment may be booked for you. If your condition requires a face to face review, the triaging doctor will arrange for this to be booked by the admin team.
If you do not have internet access or are unable to use e-consult please call reception, they will ask you a number of questions to provide the triaging doctor with information so you can receive an appropriately timely response.
We are still taking all prescription requests as normal.
Due to the ongoing demands upon General Practice there may be times when queries take longer to be answered, you may experience a longer wait whilst trying to get through on the telephone, or appointments are not able to be scheduled as quickly as we would all like. We are doing our best to provide a safe and effective service for our patients with the resources available. We have increased our phone lines to try and help with demand but please be patient if you are experiencing longer wait than usual, our staff will be with you as soon as they can. Please assist us in this by not calling to try to book a Covid vaccine or with Covid vaccine related enquiries. Covid vaccines are being rolled out by our Primary Care Network and Please use 01276 707100 between the hours of 8.30am to 5pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am-4.30pm Fridays. For any Covid-19 vaccination queries.
Please note a change in opening times the surgery will close at 6.30pm until further notice.
